Our Mission Statement
The purpose of the Walter Alexander Foundation, Inc. shall be to invest money, and devote the principal and income for distribution principally in Marathon County in the State of Wisconsin, for charitable, scientific, religious, literary and educational purposes.
This includes the encouragement of the arts, and the support of public or private institutions, or organizations that support the vision and goals of this Foundation and its Board of Directors.
Wausau School District Planetarium
The Planetarium Specializes in Earth and Space Educational Needs of Students, Schools, Public, Private Groups of Central Wisconsin. Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Walter Alexander Foundation our theater is now a state of the art, tilted, digital planetarium.

The Walter Alexander Foundation has proudly granted scholarships to Wausau East High School for a century. Building on this rich legacy, we are now extending our commitment by offering scholarships to deserving high school graduates from Wausau West, Newman Catholic School, and DC Everest.
